lyrics
Sun breaches the mountain
Filling up down below
He wakes before his alarm clock
It's time to go make the dough
Wife brews the coffee
Kisses him on the head
Takes the sports section
Reads arts & leisure instead
Everything is healthy in his mind
Unhappiness. Grievances left behind
He kneads to the second
Precision is a must
He needs the right balance
Achieve that perfect crust
No one can spoil his any day
His son's back home next week for a visit
Been off at school
He knows he'll have much to say
He's happy with his life and all it brings
His little dog, his starter, the King of Kings

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
The Chicago punks seem intent on defying any hardcore conventions, focusing instead on communicating pure disgust for the rotting world around them. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jul 1, 2022
